A New Day Is Dawning

A New Day Is Dawning

I'm not going to lie. The past few weeks have tested me deeply. Recently, while in Italy, we experienced a significant theft—over $20,000 worth of cherished art supplies and personal treasures I picked up throughout our travels were taken, along with my computer that held three years of painting sources and journals.

Back home in Florida, two hurricanes swept through, leaving a trail of destruction and damage. Thankfully, the damage was manageable for us, but facing the unknown of these storms right after what happened in Italy felt like a test of faith and mental strength.

In times like these, when every step forward feels like swimming through concrete, it's natural to be overwhelmed by doubt and to question our path. It’s in these challenging moments that our goals seem most elusive and our spirits wane under the weight of adversity.

However, I’ve come to recognize these times of struggle not just as setbacks but as signs that a breakthrough is on its way. When we feel most defeated, we are often on the cusp of our greatest victories—the ones that catapult us to new levels of personal and professional growth.

Part of navigating these challenges is recognizing that some things cannot follow us as we level up.

The feelings of loss, frustration, and resistance are often signs that we're shedding what no longer serves us and making room for new gains. This process is painful yet necessary, as it clears the way for fresh creativity and renewed strength.

You might be feeling stuck right now, wondering if you are cut out for this, plagued by the fear of not being good enough. This is a feeling I know all too well. It often creeps in just before a significant breakthrough. It's a tough spot—feeling like you're up against a wall, unable to move forward but too committed to turn back.

In these moments, we must ask ourselves: What needs to die? What limiting beliefs must we let go of to allow our new selves to emerge?

The resilience to push through while leaving behind what can’t go with us will bring about the breakthrough. It's like the quiet early morning that is so still and dark. It's motionless and ominous, and the darkness seems thick and unrelenting, but then you see that crack of light come over the horizon.

Hope returns. Light is coming. A new day is dawning, and possibilities are endless. Your breakthrough has come!

Abounding joy follows, and now inspiration and new ideas seem endless. It all makes sense now. These dismal days and hours are behind you, and you see your work in a whole new light.

This is breakthrough.
